Hi, I’m Nisha — Paediatric & Adult IBD Dietitian & Researcher
I’m an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) specialising in evidence-based nutrition and dietary therapy for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) — including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis — in children, adolescents, and adults.
I work with families and individuals in Sydney and across Australia — and support clients worldwide through virtual consultations.
I’m also a PhD candidate, researching the role of diet, gut health, ethnicity, and environmental factors in IBD, with the goal of strengthening the evidence base for practical, patient-centred dietary care.
I work with individuals and families who feel overwhelmed by food choices, frustrated by conflicting advice, or stuck in cycles of flares and restriction. My role is to bring clarity, structure, and confidence to IBD nutrition — using strategies that support remission, reduce inflammation, and improve quality of life, alongside medical treatment.
I commonly support people who are:
✔ Newly diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis
✔ Experiencing ongoing symptoms despite medical therapy
✔ Confused by conflicting diet advice online
✔ Wanting to use nutrition to support medications and reduce flare risk
